The Simmons Beautyrest Adjustable Bed is one of the more popular adjustable beds on the market today because of the long standing tradition the Simmons brand puts out.  In order to maximize the use of the bed there are 3 things you need to know; the price, the common reviews and the sizes the beds come in.  Becoming familiar with the brand beforehand will help you make a better buying decision when the time comes.

There is nothing worse than purchasing an adjustable bed and then realizing it is not actually meeting your needs.  What makes matters worse is the size and weight of the bed, if you have ever had to move one you know what I am talking about.  Imagine having to the load an often 200 to 300 pound bed back into a truck and taking it back to the store.

Simmons Beautyrest Adjustable Beds are offered in a few different price ranges anywhere between $1,200 and on up to $4,000 and generally speaking the price difference is a function of well, the beds functionality.  The lower end models cannot recline as far as the higher end models and have issues with their motors not lasting quite as long.  The higher end models can do everything from massage your back to incline your head and feet simultaneously.

Common reviews for the Simmons Beautyrest Adjustable Beds can be found on a number of sites including e-bay and amazon.  The problem is that those who end up buying adjustable beds are not usually prone to leaving big reviews.  Most people are in their later years 55+ and have not become accustomed to following up with manufactures on their beds and how the liked them.  So it become more of a review of the brand itself.

Adjustable beds come in sizes from twin to king size with the most common of them being the twin.  Twin and full size beds are usually large enough for 1 person and many elderly people who need the assistance of an adjustable bed are widows or widowers.  King size beds are more for those who want the function for functions sake and not because they need it and so a Simmons Beautyrest Adjustable Bed suits them well.

The Simmons line of adjustable beds come with  a manufacturer’s warranty that can protect you in the event you find the bed damaged or defective in anyway.  We want to make sure you are aware of what the Simmons adjustable bed warranty’s do and do not cover.  You may be surprised by some of the things you may have thought in your mind would be covered but actually are not.

Adjustable bed warranties are a little unique in that there are more moving parts.  The more the movement the greater risk for damages and the greater number of things that can actually brake.  Not all adjustable beds have a motor that needs to be serviced.

The Simmons warranty only covers defects to the product from a structural standpoint like the framing, the computer that controls movement and the actual motor itself.  The mattress and the moving parts lifted above actually have different warranty lengths.  While the mattress is guaranteed for 3 years the more technical pieces are only guaranteed for 1.

What you may be more surprised about is that the warranty covers the actual parts, but does not cover the transportation of the equipment to the home.  So while the service is covered getting the repair man or Simmons adjustable bed parts to the home are not covered.  After the initial warranty any questions you have will go into a quote and requests to have things fixed will be serviced like any other service call.

How do you get service or additional Simmons adjustable bed parts?  The first thing you need to do is file safely away the paperwork that goes over your warranty, big companies don’t keep track of that for you because it costs them money, you must have the original copy.  Call the customer service number for Simmons, (852)-237-4848, there is a typo on their site btw.  Then if that wasn’t hassle enough you need to present both an invoice, and the warranty letter to the service technician.

Here are some things they DO NOT include in the warranty;

The base of the bed, the plug or the wire.

If they deem the mattress has been soiled or used improperly. (aka they can’t re-sell it.)

You can’t have a body imprint of more than 1.5 inches.

If they deem the product is shipped outside a legitimate service area.

Remote controls were originally designed to give you more time watching tv and less time turning a knob.  And as our society has become more dependent on electronics we have also increased our dependency on remote controls.  Think about all the things you have a remote for, garage, television radios, and even in car stereos.  [...]

The history of the Simmons bed company is long and kind of cool.  They started in 1870 and originally made cheese boxes and wooden insulators.  Today they are the makers of ComfortPedic, Simmons Kids, Beautyrest Black and Natural Care, all registered trademarks.  A few years later in 1876 they decided to make the change to [...]
